APPS Awards
APPS UK EXCELLENCE AWARDS:
The Association will present excellence awards to Pakistani doctors in the UK at the annual dinner on 10 December 2011.
We are now accepting nominations in the following categories:
> Physician of the Year
> Surgeon of the Year
> Psychiatrist of the Year
> GP of the Year
> Gynaecologist of the Year
> Anaesthetist of the Year
> Paediatrician of the Year
> Dentist of the Year
> Lifetime Achievement Award
We have appointed a team of 3 independent judges who will look at the profiles of nominated doctors and select a winner based upon the voluntary / innovative work apart from the normal call of duty.
To nominate a doctor please email us their name, a brief profile and names & contact details of 2 referees.
The deadline to nominate is 1st December 2011.
APPS UK PLAB AWARD:
This award is for the doctor of Pakistani heritage who scores the highest mark in the PLAB 1 examination during the year 2012.
The prize is a lump sum of Pakistani Rupees: 50,000.
Eligibility criteria:
1. Be a doctor of Pakistani heritage.
2. Will be taking the PLAB 1 exam from now till 31 December 2012 at any test centre.
3. Register for APPS PLAB Award before taking your PLAB examination giving details of the test date and venue.
